Abstract: The purpose of the article is to substantiating the approach to creating a Digital Twin Prototype for managing the reliability of value chains, followed by the de-velopment of a technical specification for creating a Digital Twin for Chain Man-agement as a whole. Methods of classification, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction are chosen as research methods, and binary matrices formed on basis of qualitative attributes and dichotomies of objects and components of Chain Management are used as tools. The article substantiates the enlarged structure of the Digital Twin Prototype of Chain Management; clarifies the classification of re-liability of objects and components of chains; completes the content of the criterion “reliability” of managing chain “consumer - focus enterprise – supplier”; defines variants for indicators of reliability of Value Chain Management; clarifies the criteria for the value of consumers of products and (or) services for assessment its reliability.
